Negative flows in a Loop or Grid

Another quickie, this one posed by a customer -

Why am I getting negative numbers for my flow on part of my loop system?

That is normal in a loop or grid. The negative sign indicates that the flow is in the reverse order of the direction the pipe has been input into the program. In a loop, the water is split and will go both ways around the loop to get to the flowing heads

Have a great weekend!
