Saving Workspaces (or any menu customizations)
Earlier I talked about Workspaces. Now I want to show you how to save and restore them after an update, which will cause them to disappear.
Workspaces are stored in the current CUI file. Why? Who knows – personally I think that is a dumb place for them.
However…. AutoCAD created the CUIs so that people can save parts of them and restore them when necessary, and this is a good place for that
1. After you create and save your Workspaces, type in CUI
2. Pick the Transfer Tab
3. Note that on the left there is a menu item called Workspaces, click the + next to it. There are the workspaces you saved.
4. Note that on the right is your new CUI file that can be saved
5. Select the Workspaces you want to save from the left and drag them over to Workspaces on the right
6.
Pick Save As… from the right pulldown that currently says New CUI File
and give your CUI file a name and location you can easily find.
Now, after an update or rebuild menu, come back into the CUI and:
1. Pick the Transfer tab
2. Pick Open on the right and select your CUI file
3. Drag the saved Workspaces from the right back to the left
.
That should do it, plus they will be around for use whenever you upgrade your AutoCAD
PS - This method holds for any customizations you have done to your menus, button, toolbars, whatever

Not hard to do, thanks for the help. Nice to know where your menus are going to be at different stages of a project.

I was wondering if I could copy a Workspace from a different computer on my network and add the workspace(settings)to my computer without losing my workspace.

Patrick - Yes you can, just find the CUI file you saved your workspaces to and copy that to another computer and import it there.

That is what I did and it worked great.
